Our office conveniently sees patient 2 nights/week on Tuesday and Thursday nights. No appointment necessary to select eyewear or to pickup glasses or contact lenses. Please call at least 24 hours in advance if possible if you are unable to make an appointment

I will be no longer able to continue serving you at our Brooklyn location of Drs. Thorner and Davis. I believe the staff of The Optical Center and Dr. Steven Ganz, will exceed your expectations. The Optical Center of Bay Ridge is conveniently located at 8310 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge (Between 83rd and 84th Street on 5th Avenue). Take the 5th Ave.Bus (B63), the 86th Street Bus (B64 or B16), or the R train to 86th Street and 4th Ave. The office is 2 blocks from a municipal parking lot. His office enjoys a wonderful reputation. In May 2004, The Optical Center moved to their new, modern and spacious location. He participates in many of the same, union, optical and medical plans that we did including Medicare, Davis Vision, Eyemed vision care, UFT, PBA and some Medicaid plans including Health Plus. He offers comprehensive optometric care including-fitting of soft, hard, astigmatic and bifocal contact lenses, pediatric and geriatric exams, screening for glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic related eye problems. The frame selection is also extensive-ranging from designer to economy lines. NY State licensed opticians will help match frames to your prescription, fashion and budget needs. English, Spanish and Chinese are spoken at the office. Once again, your records will be transferred to Dr. Ganz’ office at 8310 5th Avenue.
